The Great Mediaeval Summer

This summer, Warwick Castle will be bursting with mediaeval activities including jousting, jesting, minstrels, fighting knights, falconry, archery and the mighty Warwick trebuchet - plus indoor themed experiences and a whole castle full of adventure to discover every day.
One of the original "Royal Approved" sites of British jousting, Warwick Castle provides a mesmerising setting for its spectacular twice daily joust. Warwick's brave knights pit their wits and strength against each other in a contest of courage, colourful horsemanship and military precision, with plenty to dazzle and delight guests of all ages.
Meanwhile, foot soldiers will show off their crack combat skills and jesters will juggle, joke and generally play the fool. The ruthless accuracy and fatal precision of the deadly Warwick bowman is guaranteed to wow guests, as is the one and only mighty Warwick trebuchet - the World's biggest siege machine, a gargantuan 18metre catapult - shoots in a jaw dropping spectacle twice daily.

With ghost stories of a haunted castle of yesteryear, two spookily themed Halloween trails to explore and creepy characters galore, Warwick Castle is the place for frightful family fun.
Guests to the castle can follow the pumpkin trail up the ancient mound to meet the Jack-O-Lantern King or embark on an outdoor trail with the spookiest of creepy crawlies and surprises aplenty. Creepy characters including the grotesque Singing Plague Victims, ghoulish Grave Diggers and strange Hermit of the Crypt will roam the castle, recounting spooky tales to young and old.
And for the ultimate haunted castle experience, guests can have an eerie after-dark adventure when the Castle stays open until 10pm for two Ghosts and Ghouls Alive Suppers (31st October and 1st November).
