The Castle is open every day (except Christmas Day). Last admission is half an hour before closing. Our opening times vary depending on the time of year.

Please note that during bad weather conditions, the towers and ramparts may close for safety reasons.

Please note that only registered assistance dogs are admitted to the Castle and Grounds. |

Audio Tours and Guide Books |

Audio Tours are now available for the Great Hall and State Rooms at £2.50. A Knight's Tale is ideal for children at £1.50. These can be hired on the day from the Stables shop on entry to the Castle or pre-booked online (subject to availability). Selected tours are available in English, French, German and Japanese.
